Recently I went to Ireland. Thus far, it is the most calming place I have experienced. I stayed in a bed and breakfast that was a stones throw from these cliffs.I played at my cousins wedding, and got to play in an amazing pub called Gus O’Connors. It was an incredible time.Recording has been put on a little bit of a stand-still because I might have to move. But it will re-commence as soon as possible. Weird how quickly your life can change. Comes out of nowhere sometimes!Cheers

Fionn Regan
“North Star Lover”, performed with The Staves. I’ve probably already blogged this, but it is just SO GOOD.
I recently went to Ireland and couldn’t stop listening to his music at night.
(Pictures from that coming soon).

Plans.

So I inquired to open for Basia Bulat and Bowerbirds at a venue in Detroit in June. I’ll be excited just to see them, but I would be mega excited to open for them.

I haven’t recorded my new songs yet but have played them in front of many Canadian acts like Said The Whale, Attack in Black/Grey Kingdom, Library Voices, Yukon Blonde, Forest City Lovers, Evening Hymns, etc and the feedback has been amazing. It’s been so nice to share stages with these people. And now I want to share one with Bowerbirds haha.

We shall see… Booking dood has to get back to me. These are my plans.
Not getting hopes too high, but regardless of the answer I shall get to see one of my favourite bands do their THANG!

Basia Bulat seems pretty awesome too folks.

This is what some of the planning looks like for my debut album. All of the songs are written, recording will commence soon. It’s probably going to be called “Tall Tales” for various reasons. But first, off to Ireland!

After a decade out of the limelight, IAINBAXTER& is back.
A leader of conceptual art in Canada, he’s an artistic nomad, a cultural explorer who skips from one idea to the next without settling on anything: one day he’s making vacuum-formed landscapes and still lifes; the next he’s grabbing the corporate structure as if it were a found object, like Marcel Duchamp’s urinal. He then flips the switch and uses his camera to redefine what a photograph can be. David Silcox, the president of Sotheby’s Canada and a long-time BAXTER& supporter, puts it this way: “He changes the definition of art nearly every time he does something.”

It’s my buddy Iain.Kinda funny seeing him everyday at school.
